Prof. P. James Clark – Research Director

Prof. Clark was born in London, England and now resides on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.

He is a scholar of the European Renaissance who conducted university courses on the literature and philosophy of the period. He speaks English, French, Spanish and is familiar with Greek and Latin. He is currently studying Classical Arabic.

His interests are not merely academic. They are integral to his life as an Astrologer and Shaman in the Druidic tradition of his Anglo-Welsh heritage. His current research includes the alchemy of Hellenistic, Persian and Indian Astrology in the crucible of Neo-Platonic and Hermetic Philosophy. He holds a diploma in Advanced Herbology and is currently writing a book on Traditional Astrological Medicine, drawing on Arabic and European sources.

Pablo Ianiszewski – Educational Coordinator

Pablo Ianiszewski is a Traditional Astrologer from Chile and has graduated from Robert Zoller’s Diploma Course in Medieval Astrology (DMA). He works with Horary, Elective, Natal and Mundane techniques while making emphasis on the Hermetic and Neoplatonic philosophy behind his work as an indispensable guide to a deep understanding of the craft.

He teaches astrology at the Astrological Center of Chile with a team of colleagues. He also participates as a speaker at conferences and symposia on a regular basis, as well as collaborates with several Spanish publications on astrology and traditional esotericism. Pablo speaks Spanish, Italian and English, in addition to possessing knowledge in Classical Greek and Latin. He holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Psychotherapy.

Clélia Romano

Clélia Romano was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She was a clinical psychologist for 20 years, dedicating her life to psychoanalysis, teaching and consultations. However, in 1983 she was drawn toward the esoteric field, particularly astrology and has developed another way to look at the human mind, behaviour and life in general. She studied the material elaborated in Robert Zoller´s course applying to the Certificate of Medieval Astrologer in 2003. She received the Diploma of Medieval Astrologer (DMA). Clélia translated the work of Māshāʿallāh, On Reception, from the Latin to Portuguese. In 2010, she has published a book in Portuguese of what would be a trilogy entitled Foundations of Traditional Astrology. The second book entitled The Practice of Traditional Astrology was published in 2013.

Steven E Birchfield, AMA

Steven is a practicing traditional astrologer, teacher, and scholar. He has been practising Traditional Astrology in particular for 29 years. In 1991 and the beginnings of Project Hindsight, he began his studies in Classical Hellenistic Astrology and then followed those with Medieval Astrological studies. He earned his Diploma in Medieval Astrology and the title of A.M.A. – Adeptus Medivalis Astrologiae, from Robert Zoller in 2004. He served as Research Director of the Society until 2018

Maria J. Mateus

Maria is a professional astrologer, researcher and author with 35 years of training. She’s open to all astrological schools but maintains a special interest in research, history, linguistics, philosophy and traditional techniques. She believes the key to understanding astrology, is to understand the manner in which logos (language and mind) reflects theworld we inhabit.In 2002, her desire to demystify the relationship between inner emotional states and outer world manifestations of those same states led her on an ongoing 16-year investigation that culminated in the development of the LINCOS grammatical approach to astrology.

Maria has lectured at conferences and workshops around the world and taught at the International Academy of Astrology and at Kepler College. She’s written for several publications and has translated two books on classical astrological techniques. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas and is one of five people in the nation, who hold an MA in Astrology.

Martien Hermes

Martien Hermes began studying astrology in 1983. He’s a qualified (Dutch) astrologer who has been teaching astrology since 1985. Since 1986 he was extensively involved with Freudian and Jungian psychology and counselling and its application in astrological practice.

Since 1994 he has been researching traditional astrological sources and regularly lecturing and hosting workshops on insights from this field of knowledge.  He studied Robert Zoller’s course on ‘Medieval astrology’, and about 2003, started studying the work of Robert Schmidt, the man who restored Hellenistic astrology and put it on the map. My astrology was never the same after that.

This dealt mainly with the positioning of astrology as a discipline within the concepts of destiny and, conversely, the positioning of the concepts of destiny within astrology. That eventually became the content of the (Dutch) book (2015) ‘Moving and Being Moved. The return of Fate in Astrology’. A colleague wrote the following about it: “Earlier I already wrote that I think this is one of the most important astrological books which have been published in the Netherlands. I still support this claim.” It was translated into French.

John Timperman

John Timperman is a Belgian astrologer who began studying astrology in 1985. He was one of the first Belgian astrologers to study Traditional Astrology with Robert Zoller whom he invited to conduct conferences in Belgium and Holland on a number of occasions.

John reads and speaks Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish and Italian and lectured in Belgium, Holland, France and Germany. Recently his interests are in the roots of the Art, the astrology of Babylon and Mesopotamia. Since 2008 he has been the President of the VAG. the Astrological Society of the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium.

Margherita Fiorello

Margherita is from Rome, Italy. She graduated with a thesis on Renaissance villas in the Papal Kingdom and I has engaged in traditional astrology for more than 25 years. She currently serves on the Board of CieloeTerra– Prof. Giuseppe Bezza’s traditional astrology group and is a certified CIDA member.

Christina Richa Devi

CRD is a full time, professional Astro-Numerologist in the Vedic sidereal Zodiac tradition. She was personally mentored by Harish Johari for ten years. She maintains an active practise and evolves her studies by travelling to and in India. More information may be discovered here: www.ompalace.ca
